Rafał Zajko (he/him)
New Block Commission
Wysing Arts Centre

Rafał Zajko’s commission, ‘Corns and Calluses’ explores labour, land, and play. It is made up of five bright-blue fingers, each sprouting a single sprig of wheat: it is part-human and part-plant. In this work, Rafał marries his interest in the future of our planet with landscape, farming, and industry, prompting us to consider the possibilities of our planet’s evolution and our relationship to it.

Supported by Arts Council England, Art Fund and the Henry Moore Foundation.
